National Park Week begins with National Junior Ranger Day on Saturday, April 15, at the South Unit Visitor Center.  Join us at 9:30 a.m. MST for “Eggs 101” and eggs-plore which eggs belong to whom, color your own egg, and build a nest. The Annual Easter Egg Hunt, presented by Chateau de Mores State Historic Site, follows at 11:00 a.m. at Chimney Park.
Join a Park Ranger for an afternoon hike at 1:00 p.m. MST on April 15. Celebrate springtime on the trail and see how the flora and fauna change at this time of year.  Meet at the Jones Creek trailhead in the South Unit; bring water and snacks and be prepared for any type of weather. We will hike, rain or shine!
National Park Week concludes with Park Prescription Day on Sunday, April 23 in the park’s North Unit. Join a Park Ranger for a hike on the Caprock Coulee Nature Trail to experience springtime in the Badlands.
